Any Glock owners out there?

I used to own several, (G21, G26, G33, G22).. I also carried a G31 whilst patrolling as a State Cop. I have since switched over to Springfield XD's.. Glocks are great, but these Springfield's are better IMHO. They just feel tigher and as far as my hand is concerned feel more natural in it. They are worth a look.

Got a 17 & 22.
The 22 broke the rear slide tabs off, but glock replaced the entire frame no charge, so I'm not complaining, especially since I got it used.
Got lone wolf trigger components and crimson trace lasers on both too.

I weekly compete in pin shoots (bowling pin shoots) and for ultimate accuracy, the Kimbers just flat out rule! All the fastest times are with the awesome 1911's. With lasers, we're getting down to almost 2 second flat times on a good 5(shots) for 5(pins). That is timed from the horn to the last pin hitting the floor. The table must be cleared with 8 shots and anything still on the table is 5 seconds penalty onto your time.
Many try all the others (glock, XD, Sig, etc, etc) but overwhelmingly they seem to be more accurate, mostly IMHO due to the excellent short-pull triggers.
I occasionally use the glock 22, CZ in .40 or the kimber ultra-carry, but the full size is the fastest. Ultra-carry at least 1+ second slower due to muzzle recoil/re-acquisition time.

My ultra-carry is my carry gun when concealment allows, or something smaller
when concealment is a problem.

Like the glocks, but when all-out accuracy is the goal, the 1911's for me are there.

I EDC a 19 and love it. The only problem I've ever had was a box of GARBAGE lead nose ammo that FTF'd or FTE'd every 3rd round or so. It actaully freaked me out when the first one FTF'd because after about 6 or 7K rounds through this gun I had never had this happen. Then every 3 or 4 it wouldn't go bang. I stripped and cleaned on site and still had problems. Unloaded that garbage and reloaded some Fedral Premiums I had and back to good old reliable. The thing I've always liked about this gun is that no matter what I fed it I never had a problem, until that last batch of bulk garbage.

You know Glocks don't like lead nose ammo right?
Apparently the lead builds up in the rifling or something like that.

FMJ is the only way to go..and the one time I sent my G27 back to glock , they asked me if I ever used reloads or lead nose ammo, they said it voids the warranty- Who knew?:ar15:

Easiest way to avoid those problems is use an aftermarket barrel. I'm using a Storm Lake 9mm conversion barrel in my G23, works great and digests just about anything. Cost was right around $100.
