Any Ridgeline Owners Here?

Since we’re considering buying a Honda Ridgeline, I’m posting an inquiry here for you Ridgeline owners to chime in and share your experiences with pop up shells on your trucks (I’m not finding much useful info on this topic on the actual Honda owners forums).

So…If any of you have a lightweight pop up shell mounted on your Ridgeline, please let me know how it’s worked out for you.

Thx mucho

I'm a lurker here, but I'll share what I've found. Also considering the Honda Ridgeline because the bed is pretty wide inside and the tailgate opens sideways (unless they have changed it recently), making getting in and out with a pop-up shell on easier than climbing over the tailgate. The only shell that I've found that fits the Ridgeline is Super Pacific. There may be others that I'm not aware of, though. Good luck!

Hi, 2020 Ridgeline here, but it is my around town truck, overlanding is in a Sportsmobile.

Pros:
  • Great ride, very comfortable
  • AWD system is great in snow
  • Awesome in-bed trunk and trick tailgate.
  • Honda Reliability
Cons:
  • Very limited aftermarket
  • ground clearance
It is pretty capable and the benefit of making the 5 hour freeway drive to mountains really comfortable. In this test it worked better than the Tacoma: Edmunds to Death Valley

Ridgeline is in my sights for my next rig. can't go wrong with a Honda.

I also love Honda, but they have had some huge misses in the last 10 years, like their 3.5 VCM troubles, 1.5t head gaskets, and 2.0t cylinder head cracking.

Anyone who gets a Ridgeline, I strongly recommend disabling the VCM.

A husband and wife put a Hiatus topper on their Ridgeline and it worked out great.
Also scroll way back on IG and you will see how they used it. I think they moved to Hawaii and don't use it as much.

I've known two people with them over the years, both loved them.

Honestly, a Ridgeline can do what 75% of truck owners do on a regular basis.
