What about a palomino real-lite? They look comfortable…
Still too high.
I'd take the roof right off of it the first time I tried to enter into my garage

It's not what you're asking for... but what about a tent trailer? Could be stored in your garage when folded up.
For the first time in @ 55 years, I find myself without a pickup truck of my own parked out front
So I’m starting to look at possibilities
I do plan on putting a lightweight wedge type of pop up shell on whatever we get…so I have to stay with a small truck to fit in my garage
Two areas of requested advice or shared experience:
1. Best small light pop up for small truck?
2. Maverick vs Ridgeline?

Could any camp topper or slide in that has jacks easily be slid in the garage? All you need is 4 cheap furniture dollies from harbor freight- screw down a piece of 3/4 ply on each one and you could easily roll the camper top in and out of garage. This is my plan to roll it into back corner of my shop if I get a slide in or pop up
Thinking out of the box here... Maybe your solution lies in a paint job. Just get whatever camper you want and camouflage itThank you all for sharing your creative problem solving ideas.
And yeah, you can see how long I’ve been struggling with trying to figure out a solution…
It’s turns out it’s impractical for me to sell my townhouse and move to another home (tho yes, I’ve actually looked for another place in recent years), I don’t want to tow anything (due to HOA parking restrictions and limits on where I’d be able to travel in it), and I’d simply really like to have a small camper that I can leave on the truck, stand up in when needed (cook, dress, bathe) with at least a 74” long bed to sleep in…and still be able to park inside and use the rest of my garage for other purposes!
Is that asking for so much?
Thru the years, I’ve camped for extended stretches in:
Small unfurnished tent trailer
Small FSC hard sided camp trailer
Pickup with a removable “conestoga” style canvas top (over rebar hoops)
Pickups, full sized and small, with cab high cappers
Pickup with FYI interior in a bolt on 1/4 cabover shell
Pickup with 3/4 FSC 8’ pop up cabover camper
Pickup with FSC 10’ pop up cabover camper
Pickup with partial interior in a 8’ hard sided cabover camper
Full size van, bare minimum interior and sportsmobile pop top
Class B FSC 21’ long van frame camper
Tiger 4wd FSC truck camper
Small low roof van, mildly camperized
Small camperized van with pop up roof (current rig)
So yeah, I know what I want/need for my next rig…it’s just mainly a challenge to find it because of the parking restrictions I have to deal with
This is becoming my White Whale![]()

Those look really cool! Im blown away by the cost…$29,000 + for a fully kitted out model, @$12,000 for an empty shell!A skinny guy camper would fit on a Ranger and assuming the ranger fits the camper will as well. Looked at one at expo west a couple years back and they look pretty awesome! https://sgccampers.com/
