The Plus is $448k actually. I guess with Rossmonster the truck is additional? Although they list a bunch of standard wheel, tire, and suspension upgrades so I'm not sure. I do think the bigger one would be better served by a 84" CA rather than 60", to compete with the LTi and separate it from the Baja.

The truck camper options seem to be at polar extremes. Cheap crap that isn't built to last, or super expensive niche offroad rigs... that are often too big to even be viable offroad! I guess overland is still a small market, so mass-producing an affordable camper is too risky? Thought it was funny that the rig that inspired TruckHouse only cost ~$70k in today's money. There is nothing remotely like that available.

The closest thing at a somewhat bearable price might still be the Ekko. If that was built on the E350/450 with a Quigley or UJoint 4x4 I would do that and just drive it until it fell apart. (not long probably). A dealer gave me a price of $178,000 for one of the new Sprinter Ekko campers recently. Still may go that route.

^^^ I guess you could do SS rear wheels, and suspension and tire upgrades, and a lift... wouldn't be too bad.

I like this one better though... $219k

We spent the day at the overland expo on Saturday. It was our first time going to the event, so I couldn't compare it to years past. Our family enjoyed it and will be going back next year. There was a total of 8 of us, so I didn't take many pictures. Too much time spent keeping up with one another, that way nobody got left behind. I did see a fair amount of people wondering around with professional camera gear. It just ended yesterday. So, the major influencers might not have their content edited and uploaded just yet. We had a great time, and look forward to returning.

I didn't make it out this year due to work conflicts but if it was anything like last year, there was probably a lot to see and a LOT to buy. Last year I stayed in the premium camping section and was a little bummed out with the lack of people hanging out late around fires. It seemed everyone retired around 8PM or so. So, if I go again, it'll have to be with friends and/or family to make sure the expo isn't the only highlight of the day.

I would be interested to hear how the numbers looked, compared to previous years. Folks don’t seem to have the disposable income they did a few years ago.
We attended OE West again this year as a vendor which makes it our 10th year (2014). OE is reporting 30,000+/- in attendance. Not sure what those numbers include but, talking with other long time vendors and our own observations it appeared to be a bit slow and light crowds. Most of the time it seemed that people were overwhelmed by the offerings and were a bit "dazed and confused". By Sunday morning it was extremely slow.
 
Last time I went was a couple years ago and it was so packed is everything there is so expensive these people that are buying these half $1 million rigs. I don’t get it. They’re so big where are you gonna take them I mean, I suppose if you were going cross country on the tundra Maybe or maybe if you crossing the Sahara from most of us a jeep with a rooftop tent Toyota Tacoma gladiator even there you’re pushing 150 K and I think all of this pokes have lost the intention of Overlanding in the first place imho
 
I had never been there before, I don’t like crowds. I came at Unicat’s request.
It sure seemed like a lot of people to me!!
I left Sunday at noon.
As far “not the least intention of overlanding”, I can testify personally that’s incorrect in my case with a 4.8m (16’) Unicat on my 05 U500. Before latest trip (Central Kalahari et al), I serendipitously added tree branch protection along upper edges. Got a lot of use.
