Anyone disconnect their front sway bar?

As several have said, swerving in an emergency should be a last resort option and hard braking should always be the default.
That's the tricky one, because you can jerk the wheel quicker than you can get to the brake. But like you said, there is often a high risk of causing a serious accident that didn't need to happen, too. And if that occurs, you'll be at fault. So that has never been my "go to", even with cars that I know could swerve way better than my truck + camper. Brakes first, a fraction of a second assessment, and then let off the brake and swerve if that seems best.

For the Super Duty crowd Peter @montypower had a great build thread on his F250. Search his post history, he covers this subject.

Full credit to Peter I used his posts when building out my truck. As well as @mk216v

Just one of his posts on sway bars

@rruff and @andy_b thanks for the feedback. I drove my Tacoma with (non-adjustable) Icons for years without a front SB and a little too heavy in the rear when packed with lighter Deavers than I have now with no real drama. As many have said the lean is manageable.

With the camper, which the Tacoma didn’t have, I’ve been more hesitant, but I have much heaver springs on the back and very little rear sway anyway. Think I’ll be fine with the compression adjustable Icons. Mostly concerned with the highway emergencies, and certainly agree with all that’s been said!
