Anyone have experience with Fiberglass Reinforced Panel?

Found this site doing research on a DIY build for a travel trailer. Anyone use FRP for the skin on a trailer over the frame and Foamular? Instead of laying resin and fiberglass that others do over the entire exterior.

BTW saw this video on YouTube. Thinking of doing the interior like he did, some good ideas he has.

Yes I am doing it and so is sawtooth ultimate. he thread is here and so is sawtooths. His is good for how to do the panels, I did mine the same way, same skin and all. My trailer as some different things and is more of how to do extras.

I just watched that video. His design actually kind of sucks. If he swapped ends with the bed and bathroom he would just be able to lift the bed out of the way instead of removing walls to use it as a cargo trailer. Also if he put the bed in the middle and the table/kitchen area towards the back he could use the ramp as a patio if he put an awning over it.

do you mean real gelcoated panels or the home depot stuff?

16 years in the Australian sun (almost NEVER been under cover) and not yellow yet
Like most things, there is good stuff and there is lousy stuff. Pick the former. Price is not a good guide.

I should have clarified. Most standard 4'x 8' FRP panels are not UV protected. (Read Home depot & other construction uses)
You can purchase FRP panels designed for UV exposure that will last years without yellowing.
