Looks like a new Old Man Emu shock that is distributed by ARB USA, as opposed to a new 'ARB Shock'

They are not in the states as of yet, but expect them soon. They will start with the most common shock applications and work from there I'm told. Pricing will be a reasonable amount above the current Nitro's which will stay available, giving 2 and 3 different style options as well as countless valving options for some of the more popular applications

(this was as of last week when I spoke with ARB, they might have a better ETA date at this point)

Sounds to me like they were able to increase the low speed damping without adding excessive high speed. The rest of that press release is kinda fluff. Disk valves are pretty common and not really a new technology.

Anyway, sounds like a nice offering, if not ground breaking.

Any updates reviews of these shocks? I have leaky older Nitrocharger and might be upgrading.

These are available now. I installed them onto my truck about 2 months ago and it rides more like a truck now. In talking with ARB they are "weight rated" to carry 1,000 lbs as opposed to the old style which were rated to 500 lbs, whatever that's supposed to mean.

Also ARB is phasing out the old style OME shocks and will only sell these once that inventory is gone.

The old OME spring shock combo on my truck is a sweet ride, if the new are any better you can be sure I'll be adding it to my list of things to do in the new year.

I have just shy of 8000 miles on the Nitrocharger Sport struts on my Tacoma, absolutely pleased with them. I've flogged them all over Utah this fall/winter and they are holding up nicely

We did a pretty high speed trip from Lake Powell to Blanding over Elk Ridge in October, even after hours of high speed moving they didn't get the fade I've become accustomed to (was previously running Bilsteins). I don't know that I can 'feel' a major difference between the previous Nitrocharger and the Sport having a different shock installed in between but the handling is as dialed in as ever so I consider that a success.

They do NOT have them for all applications yet, but will be transitioning over the next year. I had the chance to see some of the internal changes first hand during my tour of the ARB Aussie facility this summer. Suffice to say they have taken a proven product and expanded on it without sacrificing the reliability we have come to love.
