I am looking at getting some fuses to add to my spares...Amazon has them for $6.60 for 120? Are they any good? Opinions?

Harbor freight ones were known to catch and cause fire. Not sure on other brands I guess its just how much to you trust the device to function. I personally use the Little Fuse brand ones as I know they are pretty much the industry standard and they are decently cheap as all fuses are.

As taken from that amazon link..

everything was fine for about 2 weeks when one of the fuses completely melted inside the fuse box. When I tried to remove it, one of the legs broke and now I have a completely nonfunctional fuse slot.In retrospective, I wish I bought a more expensive set.

Yeah cheap fuses.

I would always use a known name brand fuse, which means Littelfuse or Cooper-Bussmann for the little blade fuses. I run, not walk, away from cheap fuses when top quality ones are not expensive. It's not like the $500 difference between a Warn winch and a Chinese knock-off, we're talking $0.25 or maybe $0.50 for a fuse that you'll know will work.

I'll say I'd take online feedback with a grain of salt since you never know what half baked circuit a person is trying to protect or that they even used the right sized fuses. It's also possible the person is using the wrong type fuse, a fast blow where a slow blow is required or whatever. It's possible that even a good fuse can melt or some other weird thing happen when used incorrectly. But most likely they are simply junk.

I usually fill my pockets at the pick and pull junkyard. I've accumulated hundreds of OEM fuses and breakers that way. OEM light bulbs as well.
And yes, I show them to the cashier, they usually just wave me on.

That is a great idea...especially for some of the bigger cube fuses....
