I like your set up so much I just bought an M416 and an Airtop from Autohomes. Have to go to Ca. to pick them both up. Can you tell me what type of material your lid is made out of and what size are your lift struts? Also, what material they used for the part that attaches to the trailer itself. Thanks.
It is a 14 gauge steel lid. I think the part that attaches to the trailer is as well. I am not sure what the strut size is offhand. You can give them a call.
Probably a good idea. Aluminum would be much lighter. I kinda wish I went that route. I would love to see the final product and your progress. Are you doing a build for your trailer?
When I get it I might. I will post it on FJ forum. Love your build. You inspired me to do the same. Trying to figure out just what I need, and not spend money on what I don't. Thanks for your help.
I have not done anything to the trailer this year except use it. : ) I did get new wheels for the FJ this year and I got a pair for the trailer but I did not buy new tires yet. The tires on the trailer probably have 3,000 miles on them and they are 17" so they will not fit on the new wheels.
