not in THAT thread. you were in the middle of torturing me somewhere else when you casually let me have it. outside of me saying something stupid, my memory is great.

a 100 a nice DD, isnt it?

Yes, the 100 is a nice DD.

Are you people suggesting, in a round-about way, that I choose a 100 series for this trip? My idea was to brave the world in a more nostalgic manner. I may need a kidney transplant half way through, but I should be able to buy a fresh set of those from any one of numerous countries along the way. Comparatively cheap, I might add.

you should, and use spring spacers while you are at it.

Smails I will say sorry for the guys cluttering up your thread with their talk about THEIR vehicles.
This is why having a guide/handler is so important on an expedition like yours. With social media, easy internet access and such it is far too easy for others to detract from the experience you are wanting.
I am sure you are looking to setup a sat comm setup with global data access and I would be happy to help with that. I have been working with companies like Spot & Delorme on behind the scenes solutions and I am sure you are able to go far beyond those middle class options with your resources.

Nav and comm will be a vital part of your endeavor especially since I now see you have a serious medical condition. Again as a Wilderness EMT & ICU RN I can be a key part of ensuring your expedition success. I work with Donor Network regularly and have taken care of transplant pt's for years. We will want to make sure you are monitored for labs and other biometric indicators.

As it is clear you have the resources and desire to make this Round the World Expedition possible I would recommend you have ICON build you both the FJ43 and the Bronco. This will give you a longer wheelbase gear carrier and a shorter wheelbase tactical extreme enviro machine. Another option would be a Global Expedition Vehicle or ActionMobil larger rig as a basecamp/chase rig.
Having been to the largest offroad show in Germany and meeting many of these manufactures I positioned to liaison between you & they. To reach the position you have in life has taken time & skill, and part of that skill was knowing when to bring in a team member and delegate. Happy to help!

I give you credit for taking the time from your busy schedule to come to Expo and let this community become a part of what will surely be an expedition long remembered and discussed. Between you use of ICON vehicles and your resources to setup a team of experts there is no doubt of your success.

My full CV with references is ready to be sent to your office. I understand there might also be a background check and security clearance required. As a registered nurse I am felony free, but I sure you need to dig deeper and I am prepared for that.

Ensuring proper fuel depots, med procurement, border crossings, videography & photography documentation are all things that need to be looked at at the earliest stages of the Expedition Planning so we need to get started ASAP.
And speaking of documentation I would recommend you start working with good still shooter & someone else for video now so that backstory gets the full attention later generations will demand. We have some great people here on Expo in both of those realms and I am sure you could secure there services (it will be a premium rate but worth it as they understand the demands of expedition/overland lifestyles).

I would wish you good luck but men like you make their luck and carve their destiny out of the world other men merely stumble through.

Do you actually have a vocabulary or are you only able to cut and paste meaningless, stupid pictures?

Why don't you speak your mind and quit acting like a limey bastard?

Perhaps you need childish snippets from the internet to do your talking for you. If so, carry on...tut tut, cheerio!

This thread was amusing, but now it's just weak. And I had such high hopes.

C'mon Smails - you could've kept the gag going for a good long while, but instead you just took the easy "insulting wanker" route and lost the game.

Better luck next time.

Let me get this straight...I took the "insulting wanker" route? That juvenile did nothing but cut and paste insulting bits and I called him out. Sorry if you two have similar accents and you got insulted, but I found it most irritating. He basically called me a troll and self-absorbed with nothing to back it up. Who is the wanker now?

I come on a website that was recommended as one that is filled with individuals like me, with the ability and money to go anywhere and do anything, no matter the cost... one or two jealous dolts feel the need to derail my thread because they don't have the means and don't get it. Well, that just sucks.

Everyone needs to relax.

Snails, if you everything you said is true and honest, then the members here need to take a step back.

I think the problem is the timing, many posters on this thread just came from another thread that was pretty crazy...

Thanks, Christian.

And, it's Smails, not Snails.

Please understand... Christian has a little French blood in him; it's all escargot to him.

I had fresh escargots in Paris last summer. Super yummy.

My Californian girlfriend however did not appreciate as much I did...

Smails, I think it would probably help if you gave us a bit more background about you and your vehicle. Where do you plan to go?

no name, no call sign...

it's a trap.

Why, because the OP joined just this month after a contentious thread was locked? Perhaps flaunting their unlimited resources? N'ah, I doubt it... besides, the really wealthy don't have call signs; except maybe, sir, Chip, or m'lordship.

Some of the super-rich even have a hobby selling expeditionary equipment at 20% over MSRP and run their own forums mocking customers and glampers.

All I can say to your observation is, "you cannot prove or disprove it, therefore it must be true."
