I'd love to get some critical feedback if anyone is willing. I'm experimenting outside of my normal comfort zone.

hmm, IDK man, think getting lower and maybe framing/rotating to put the rock out to one of the sides would have been cool, maybe two steps to the left, bring the lines in at unequal distances. A little lighter on the vignette. It's no a bad photo, but for me the Rock is lost to the background.

This is more my usual style, which feels a little bland in this case, and was the reason to experiment. I agree with all your comments and will have to work with it further. A couple inches lower would definitely have helped in retrospect.

See I like more detail in the shot like you show in the second. I keep visualizing the rock being more of the subject, Larger in the frame. with the mountains being a background and one of the lines being more dominate to draw your eye into the scene.

Thank you for the comments John. They are helpful.

Ok mine are iPhone pics, there I've said it. Don't have a camera so I work with what I've got

Some pics from Craig's Hut, old film set from The Man from the Snowy River, and up over Mt Stirling in the Victorian High Country
