Artistic Shots- Well thought out, framed (positioned), artistic shots only please.

Thanks, interesting thing about the 1st one, when was the last time you had a 6 second shot with wild birds in it :) (that's an osprey nest with both birds in it)

Actually I am pretty "lucky" when it comes to that kind of stuff but yeah I had noticed that and had to take a closer look.

A few from our recent trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon

We spent 5 days hopping from point to point along the North Rim. The conditions were not optimal but here are a few I was able to capture.

Nice, man. Really digging some of that work from Toroweap in your Smugmug gallery.

Thanks. Toroweap was an opportunity with great light. I guess we all have to keep to looking for it. The good thing is just being out there in the backcountry is awesome, whether we get great captures or just the memories.

One of my favorite wildlife photographers makes a point of saying "it's not just the photograph, it's the outdoor experience".
Very well done. I was pretty bummed not to be able to spend more time at the Grand Canyon. My daughter and I both got sick in bakersfield and 3 days later we were not much better, but I had already missed it on 3 previous trips and did not want to miss it again

What do you mean the conditions weren't optimal? Those are some outstanding images!

Crawldit, those are some great images

Thanks Pat. I just like to see some billowing cumulus clouds in the sky to add some character. The moon toned down the star shots but did allow for some interesting moon light shots.
