Fossil on the Rim

I had seen this sea shell fossil before and wanted to try to get a shot with the river visible in the background. When I went back I found that was not an option so I just went for the open view of the Grand Canyon as the background.

To me, this really shows you how vast the timeline is for the life of the Grand Canyon.

Great shots Aaron and Brad! Makes me miss the South West!

All I get are shots like these living in Florida

Wow, over 2900 posts since 2007 and this thread just died -let's bring it back! Here's a photo I snapped at a local car show. I live in a Riverton, WY, a town with a population of only 10k and several hundred miles from the next significant populace. Surprisingly enough, it seems that nearly everyone here has a classic car or truck. Cool!

Sounds good Brandon!

One of my favorites I took about a year ago. This was the Rosie's Diner of Bounty commercial fame. It was moved to Michigan from Colorado at some point. Hot rodders would have nights there for photo shoots when it was operating. There are many posters and prints available of various cars in from of the place. It has suffered owner neglect for about the last 10 years since it was shut down.

This image was taken on the way to the arctic circle. I do a lot of night and long exposure images. I hope you enjoy it.
