There's a been a bit of swell (first decent one of the winter) running the past few days. Earlier this week, I was too excited to even think about swimming out with the camera. I was having way too much fun on the handplane. Took a bit of time this afternoon to get the camera wet.

This is an older shot that I went back and cropped down and tried to bring out the feeling of the impending storm.

Your wave photography continues to amaze me. I'd love to know how you get these shots and seem to keep the lens clear of water drops. :victory:

All I would get is a shot with the lens covered in water and my drowning face with my eyes bugging out. :xxrotflma

I spit on the lens port just before I get in then give it a good licking. Saliva repels salt water better than anything for some reason.

I'm comfortable in most conditions. I don't push myself as hard these days and my limit is about 12'. I had a bit of a hair raising experience at Pipeline a number of years ago that gave me a huge reality check.

A few from our time in the Tetons. I have won several contest with the String Lake one. No photoshop, just a Sony Point and Shoot. Enjoy. The last one is of Yellowstone Falls. It looks totally fake in the photo, but amazing at the same time.

Trevor, that one just blew my socks off. Outstanding. :victory:

Print and frame that puppy.

Thanks Brad. Brad, if you don't mind me asking, what do you think it is that draws you to that shot? I don't mean to put you on the spot and you don't have to answer if you don't want, I'm just curious as to why some images capture the interest of some and others don't. My own personal tastes have changed quite a bit over the last year, and the obvious has become a bit boring to me, but I know a lot of people gravitate towards those shots more so then some of my personal favourites. Lately I seem drawn to much more delicate images, images that many people simply gleam over. For instance, the last post of mine I do like, I liked the tones when I looked down on the ground today, but I'm not really sure the final product is something I would print for myself at this point. Reason being it's just a bit too obvious to me. What I have printed recently seem like less obvious choices to many but surprisingly enough once mounted they seem to capture much more attention then some of the more obvious shots I've taken. Below are my last few prints which are all much more subtle, and a lot less punchy then some of the stuff I've posted in the past. Anyway, I appreciate any feedback you may have.
