Martyn, what's the weight on these holders nowadays? One reviewer put them at around 75 pounds, which I have a hard time beleiving, unless that was the weight with a full can attached.

Also, can we pay extra to have them powdercoated a different color, say olive drab?

Thanks

The review done here on Expedion Portal lists them at 19 lbs for just the holder, 24 lbs with an empty scepter can and 68 lbs with a full can.

The can holders weigh in at 22 lbs a piece. A holder and can weighs 28 lbs and with 5 gallons of fuel at 31.65 lbs, a grand total of 59.65 lbs.

They are powder coated black.

While powder coating is less expensive than painting, one of the largest charges for powder coating is the set up and clean up charge. So doing individual colors is cost prohibitive. You can spray over the top if you rough up the powder coat surface to start with.

As FlyingWen said they are the best holders on the market. It’s not that we are stopping making them, it’s just that we are moving to a point where we don’t want to have $20,000.00 of stock sitting on our shelf for an extended period of time. If we can have smaller batches made more frequently, and still keep everyone happy it makes more sense.

Thanks Martyn, I thought 75 pounds was a bit much. Email on the way for 2 units.

Fax, what fax ;)

Yes we got it. I won't be charging anything to it until closer to the time we have a firm delivery date. I think that will be once they are at the powder coater, their turn around time is very consistent.

My calculations are based on;

Holder 22lbs
Can 6 lbs
Fuel 6.33 lb/gal

So it should be 59.65lbs

Makes me wonder if the cans were filled with water for the other review. That'd make thier numbers more accurate.
