Ahh. Yes its going to require trimming and bump stops and I will be replacing the entire suspension. But it could be done without aftermarket suspension if you really wanted to.

The sawzall / cutoff wheel / plasma cutter is your friend for sure.

Oh yeah, Ive got a plan that is starting to come together after test fitting that Toyo. Unfortunately I under estimated how tall a brand new 40 with full tread is. There will definitely be cutting...
Awesome wheels/tires 😍 Looking forward to your progress

A lot of cutting goes on when install the front & rear AEV HighMark fenders, so perhaps their instructions will give you some 'ideas' as where and how much to cut.

I recommend running the Dodge Off Road Steering Brace with 40s.

I have gone through the AEV installation guides looking for tips. I dont plan on pushing my front axle as far forward as AEV does unless push really comes to shove. What I need is to find bulk fender liner material so I can build my own liners after Im finished trimming.

As for steering Ill be running hydro assist. I have not spoken to anybody (DOR or otherwise) about if that takes stress off the steering gear (does this negating the need for a brace?) but Im not opposed to the brace so long as it works with the PSC gear I have coming. Small price to pay to protect expensive new parts.

I have not messed with this material so I don't know how it would handle engine heat. Might be worth a phone call or email:

One of my buddies was into rally and I watched him make his own mudflaps out of all kinds of stuff. I have also seen liner fenders made from cut up tractor trailer mudflaps. They seem to work well also.

Its about to start getting good in here. The last of the suspension bits have finally rolled in and Blazer camper #2 is on hold for a couple weeks so that means time to tear into this thing. The full list, for now, is the following:

  • Thuren Power Wagon rear dual rate coils w extended sway bar links
  • Thuren rear coil adjustable shim kit
  • Thuren front track bar with bracket
  • Thuren rear track bar complete kit
  • Thuren weld on front lower shock mount reinforcements
  • Thuren spec Fox 2.5 DSC shocks
  • Carli front sway bar relocation brackets(if necessary)
  • Carli weld in front coil isolator supports
  • Factory non Power Wagon coil spring isolators
  • PSC steering gear for hydro assist
  • PSC hydro assist Ram
  • AEV hydro assist kit for Ram HD trucks
  • Synergy radius arm brackets
  • Synergy 2" front bump stop drops

Awesome! No Thuren rear boogie bumpers or Thurn rear swaybar? I know a guy (me) who had to take his off when he put his camper on (replaced with airbags and Hellwig swaybar), who I bet would part with them ;)

Pretty much the same set-up I have, except with 2.0 Fox shock (planning to upgrade to the same as you), Carli HD balljoints, and no PSC hydro steering. I have not had an issue without the hydro steering, but I sure would like to drive one with it installed to feel the difference. I'm always looking to upgrade.

I am looking forward to it all coming together.

BTW-great photo layout
