Aviation sub-category? Bush flying, helicopters, etc?

Nice spot to take a break.

How long was she in repair after the crash?
You can land anywhere once, right? 😜

Edit….
Ah. That crash.

I’m not sure of the super deep particulars on the repairs. I know the pilot from the incident and know there was a lot of work done before being brought into our company. Definitely where you put trust in your maintenance team. But I’ll say she flies beautifully.

Making me miss flying. I'm rated commercial Instrument in Rotary Wing, but haven't flown for almost 30 years now. Most of my time in Robinsons, little bit of 206, AS350 and one glorious flight cross country in an A109 (which ended up in a movie - 96WC).

Now I just fly little RCs

I’m really struggling with being a financially responsible adult and not going out and dropping $100k on this Scout that’s for sale locally. It’s definitely overkill but being able to put me, my girlfriend, 180lbs of baggage and four hours of gas in it before hitting gross weight would be pretty awesome.

That sounds perfectly reasonable to me!

That’s a pretty solid payload. Think of all the fuel stops you can avoid! Which is long term savings? šŸ˜‚

So did you do the financially responsible thing and buy it?!?!

Not a great picture but oh well. Citabria 7GCBC with nice low hours on a frame up rebuild and total overhaul O320. Figure I’ll put some work in on pavement this winter with the current tires and then put some 26ā€ or 29ā€ bushwheels on in the spring for getting out and around on. The engine cover I found cheap is from a Super Cub and I need a bit of daylight to mess around with how to fit it best around this slightly different cowling.
