Awesome new suspension for the FJ Cruiser!

Last year, we were given the opportunity to be the first in the US to get the new IRONMAN Foam Cell Pro suspension for the FJ. We were also the first to actually do field testing on it in the US while waiting on the first real shipment. Our results went back to Australia and they were more than stellar. To be fair and IAW forum rules, I'll refer you to IRONMAN USA to be directed to a dealer.

The kit does give a full three inch lift. If just installing the fronts it works as an awesome leveling kit. The rears are also 2.5 inch bodies with build in rock guards. The ride on both dirt and asphalt is amazing.

That being said, here are some photos:

2.5" shock body.

A look at the stance after install:

We did our best to break them during testing:

And now there is an extended travel front, but they require a new UCA. The standard travel ones do not require a UCA change. They are a direct stock replacement.

We had a lot of fun testing these and have had equally as much fun hearing all the "ooh's and ahhh's" from everyone that has installed them in the past week.

Interesting, thanks.

A pity the closest dealer is 3 states away. Is the upper Midwest really that big a black hole for off road activity?

Wish I would have know about this a few weeks ago. I just had the OME lift installed on my 4Runner. Ironman has come a long way in the last few years...glad to see that they are still staying on top with products like this.

Hey Nick, how smooth of a ride did this option yield?...compared to stock. Also what other lifts could you compare it to?

Yeah, they are working hard at it. There was a ton of product improvement and development that went into these.

I run a FOX 2.5 setup on my rig and comparing the test rigs to mine is like night and day. They really do ride much smoother, especially on the highway. I have had three of our customers use the exact same words...."butter smooth".

Alan, unless you are outside of the US, you have never driven a vehicle with "it" because we're the only ones in the US with "it". LOL "It" being the new design. :)

There were a few that made it into the states previously. In your defense though, I will say I'm very happy with our Ironman setup. :)

Just bumping this back to the top as we have had some T4R's added to the Ironman family. All reviews thus far have been 100% positive!

I've been running the white foam cells with CL on the front and ECLs on the rear for 2 years (2012 FJ Cruiser). I love the ride. The only issue I have is with the paint. I live in Oklahoma and we have basically no rust issues from salt as long as you hit the Carwash after the ice is gone. That's maybe 3-4 days a year. My shocks are rusting badly. I've not had that issue with any other brands.

I heard of that with the previous designs. It isn't happening with the new Foam Cell Pro.

I hate road salt! Luckily we live in Vegas!
