I know all of you are waiting for more updates/pics and status on the truck. This week/weekend has been a little hectic but got some more done. Installed all the wiring harnesses and lights into the sPOD, mounted the sPOD in the cab, did some trimming of the rear quarter panels and went on a 10 mile hike. I will have some more updates posted tomorrow or Tuesday. I am now planning for electrical updates which include IBS dual battery setup, wiring the rear D2's in the bumper, rear camp light, rear distribution center for fridge power, some aux outlets, etc. much much more to do in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

Ok, so here are the rest of the pics and how Bear stands today. I fell way behind and apologize for the delay!

Steve and Sam working hard to get the rear transfer fuel skid plate bolted in.

The passenger swing-away mounted with the spare and the tool box where I will store spare liquids, recovery gear, fuel transfer hose, etc. Weathertight and locked! So sweet!

The Drivers side swing-away has a dual jerry holder and a propane tank mount. It also has a small fold down table for condiments, beer, and other stuff while in camp mode.

Here she stands. Having just driven away from CBI at 11pm and getting her first fill-up as a new rig preparing for the snowy drive south to Salt Lake City for a visit with Paul May at Equipt1!!!!

Next-up.... K9 Roof rack!

So I sped to SLC right after CBI cranked as best they could to complete the install. I spent the night after arriving at 2am, got some much-needed breakfast, and found my way to Equipt1 at 7am!

I met Paul May there and we quickly got to installing the roof rack. If anyone in the area has not been to Paul's shop, there are many very nice accessories that are tried and true in the overlanding world! Worth making a stop to say hi in my opinion!

Here are a few pics from that morning. Nothing detailed as the K9 Roof rack is super easy to install and mostly self explanatory.

Holy crap! That thing looks fantastic man! What a transformation. Everything, the rack, bumpers, sliders, all look really slick. It really looks like a proper tough Cruiser now. I'd expect nothing less from the guys at CBI.

I can't wait to see how that thing looks in person.

Thank you, sir! They did some pretty amazing work! We were talking about doing Ennis in August when we head up toward Yellowstone. Have made the Ennis run? Thoughts/comparison of Ennis vs. Beartooths?

Haha, go get'er done! Would love to see a few more 200 series builds, especially in Northern California. Thanks man!

Ennis is a very short run from the western side of the park, so you're on the opposite side of the park from the Beartooths. It's a pretty area, and very historic too. West Yellowstone is on the way to Ennis, and it's a pretty darn cool place to check out. Really pretty, great places to eat and shop. But it all kind of pales in comparison to the Beartooths.

The Beartooths are much more scenic and dramatic than anything on the western side of the park, with far better views. The tallest mountains in Montana are all in the Beartooth range. The highway itself is really special, plus there's tons of back roads and trails to go explore. That is not the case with the Ennis area.

X2. However, if you head West out of Ennis and into the Tobacco Root range, there is a lot to explore. Not near as dramatic as the Beartooths for sure, but I think more friendly for the 4wd crowd. I have yet to tire of the Tobaccos!

Can I please buy it now from you?

Just kidding, but I feel like you just built a complete new car. Ok, I will throw a random guess that the project costs around $20,000. I may be wrong, but that is my wild guess.

Enjoy your ride. I would love to see that in person by some chance some day.

Thanks! If the Beartooths are that amazing I think it makes sense to spend a day or two exploring up there and finding a camping spot prior to heading into the park. Are there decent camp spots we can find off the beaten path?

Thanks as well! I think you confirm what wreckdiver is saying. I will be traveling with my wife and two friend so may as well explore the more scenic routes first, and the ones less traveled. :)

Not going to get into the price but a build like this would cost well north of $20K if done pieced together with separate installs and all the custom work that was done.

You can always make an offer, but it would need to be well north of $100K to take her off my hands. :) Only 15K miles on her and basically brand new.

Thanks! Let me know if you are ever in the Bay Area, California for a meet up.

Wow...CBI never ceases to amaze. Their work is art. You are a much braver man than I :)

Any chance you could post up some more pics of the left (driver's side) of the rear bumper? Maybe it's just me, but I can't quite figure see what's going on over there. I know you said propane tank but it'd but cool to see some close ups if you have them.

Thanks for the updates! It's fun to live vicariously through your posts :coffeedrink:
