The first one was taken from Alstrom Point overlooking Gunsite Bay in Lake Powell. The other two were taken from my camp about 2 miles away overlooking Wahweap Bay.

Those are awesome, so many elements and so much depth, great work.

Fangars, I have always been a big fan of your work. :wings:

I am still learning so much since geting focused on photography. A lot of the impact of my photos come from post processing.

I get the feeling you just have the skill to capture the image with the first click. :victory:

Gives me something to aspire to. :sombrero:

I am all post as well, ever since I started shooting manual my tendency is to under expose. So many images taken with sky in them I can almost never properly expose for the foreground, or I blow out the clouds.

That first shot of the ruins at edge of the cedars was so under exposed I thought it was going to be lost, but it turned out better then expected.
The others are a bit over saturated, I have since reigned in and do a better job with the color. Takes self control.

In post my main mission is to do what ever it takes to get depth, for me that means sometimes the color has to be toned down in the background and left more vibrant in the foreground. Seems to be working for me lately.

These are all older shots, so they tend to be almost hyper saturated compared to my current methods in post.

My wish for the next month is to figure out some custom settings in my camera so my white balance is not all over the place in the same series of shots. Right now I have it on auto and the results can be that a series of shots for a pano will go back and forth from warm to cold. Just have not had enough time to experiment, with my day job and side business I really have not had too many outings, but hopefully in May I will be in Moab.
