Very nice!
Any updates? :smiley_drive:
Been using it in the back of my WJ since I made it without issue.

The rails havent caught me yet.

We'll see if I use it in my '91 FJ.

I replaced the soft rubber stops with hard rubber ones as the rails would vibrate back and forth on certain roads...no more irritating chunka chunka chunkas.

I'm flattered!

Just make sure you make a jig for the bearing bolt holes so you can repeat the spacing for the rail.

Thanks. I'm thinking of taking some design ques from cheap drawer rails (the kind for kitchen drawers found at HD or Lowes) and building them using similar materials to your setup (bearings, angle iron, etc.)

Thanks for the kind comments all.

I have listed the slide in the FS section as it no longer fits my needs...might save some the hassle of making one.

Is there any point in adding som bearings, that eliminates sideways travel?

I am about to do something of the same, but i`m not sure if i need this "add on" or not.

Is the slide grinding against the side of the frame, as you pull it out?

Nice slide, by the way:)

G-Force.

If you layout the side 'L' angles properly, no bearings are needed for lateral movement.

The slide rubs the frame in the last 6" of the pull, to the point that with a light pull, it stops the slide, but with a good tug, you can pull it all the way out.

I never got around to making any type of extension limiting device, so I just cocked the 'L' angles in by about 1/16th of an inch on both sides.

I go home brewed every chance I get, good job!:) Do you need all that plywood? Could you just bolt the runners to the floor? Seems to be unnecessary bulk?

'Twas a temp solution that I never got around to making permanent!
