Looks sharp! I'd be tempted to remove the black portion at the bottom of your front door but for the rest, A+

I'm happy you like it ;)

Do you think you could send me whatever graphics files you used? I'm assuming you overlaid them onto my picture via multiple layers? I'm thinking of how to blow them up to correct physical size and then turn them into stencils.

Yes, right, could you give me the dimensions of the box so i can scale the graphic to the correct size before send them to you?

You could also use a pc projector to display the graphic on the ambo as on a screen and mask some of the more complex graphic directly with the tape

The projector was kind of my thought, but rather than taping I thought about hanging some masking paper down the side, projecting on that, and then cutting it all out as stencils. That way I can spray one side and then transfer the paper to the other side without having to retape the design on the second side. Make sense?

I never used stencils but i think it could work and save a lot of time.. but the surface isn't flat, there are windows etc, how do you manage that?

I extract the layers for the print, the red lines are the box limits. i'll send the link to download the full version. Let me know if it is enough to do the work

Back in the OLD days (before computers could be moved by fewer than 5-6 strong men, maybe 1975 or so), we would save lettering so we could reapply it after a paint job. We'd take a transparency photo (slide) of the lettering, then we'd project it back onto the side of the vehicle after painting was complete and trace the lettering with a pencil.

The actual lettering was usually done with skilled sign painters - a nearly lost profession these days!

What's a transparency?

I WISH I were young enough to ask that question! :(

I tend to lean a little more to the conservative side of things, so IMO the bio-hazard emblem is too large. With the points of the triangle cut off, it makes the emblem look like it's the wrong size for the vehicle.

I think it would look better if it was reduced in size, and placed behind the side window (check the other side for same location) or on the cab doors. If the triangle wasn't used, it could be oriented more easily also.

Since my suggestion is probably boring to most, how about using something like this variation of the standard bio-hazard emblem, and keep 'em guessing...

It's all good Pat. The actual final design has yet to be nailed down, and to be honest I wasn't sure on keeping the triangle anyway. If I lose the triangle it makes reorienting the hazard logo a bit easier. I may or may not want to drop the size, at least in any significant way, but it may find a home elsewhere it a much smaller version. Hood maybe.

The main thing is it got the gears turning a bit and this design is right up my alley, but even so, I wouldn't mind seeing someone else's ideas. This one is good enough though that I wouldn't be a bit ashamed to run with it.

Same here, my mind was a blank until I saw the first design. The black and white graphics look good against the tan, and are easy colors to work with.

Coming up with a theme is the hard part, once you have that the rest is just plug and play.
