Don't worry, you didn't took any advantage! Lately I had no time and I could not make any other graphics :D but if the ball is rolling is enough for me :clapping: .
You're welcome! For me it is a pleasure to give a little help, did you already start working on the ambo graphics or are you still thinking about it?

It's a thing from the past, I feel a bit better now anyway i still like to use my old avatar :xxrotflma

I've started...sort of. I ordered a projector to use which should be here Thursday I think. The plan is to project the main graphic on the Ambo to get an idea on size and placement. Then illl hang some masking paper on it to record some dimensions and location markers, and when that's all done I'll bring the whole mess in the house. I'll hang the paper in here, project the images on the paper to trace out, carve it up, the re hang it on the ambo using some double sided tape around the edges. Spray in my garage.

I bought my wife (me!) a vinyl cutter for Christmas I'm going to try to use to cut out some custom alphabet stencils so I can do some labeling. Got the idea from a member in here and it should be kind of cool when done, assuming I can get the stencils made.
I'll have to look him up so I can give proper credit.

Yeah my (mostly) past as well. Always liked the Rei character better than Asuka, and Shinji, I'd have killed that whiney bugger myself. :)

A sign shop can cut you some graphics for about $100 if you want some text and basic graphics. It's all about square footage, but for much of what I've had done I was facing minimum charges.

If you design the vector files, they can cut it out for you. Adobe Illustrator has free 30 day trials... although it's not terribly intuitive.

I don't think I'm going to be able to use any vinyl. I doubt it would stick properly to the Raptor Liner. I was going to use the wife's vinyl cutter to cut paper stencils and spray it in.

Not sure on raptor liner texture, but it does stick well and conform to rough textured flat paint... it's very thin and stretches.

Mine is REALLY rough. Think really large gritty sand-in-the-paint rough. Like non-skid. I was hoping for nothing more than a heavy orange peal texture but just couldn't seem to get it out of my setup when spraying.

Hey Pat are you still paying attention in here? Got a question. You see that very last light on the passenger side of the ambo box? Exactly what is that light called? I managed to squeeze a tree juuust a bit too close and smashed the light cover. I want to get a replacement but I'm not sure what it's called and it seems the pictures I've looked at dont quite seem to match, at least to my eye. A source would be great too! :)

Yeah Tom, I'm on here all the time.

When you say 'last light' are you referring to the four 7"x 9" clear lights on the side, or the small red one on the top rear corner?

Once I know which one, I can get you a source.

I believe they are made by Weldon and this is the lens for the scene lights, which are the two clear ones that tilt in the center, and on the back wall also as load lights.

The two on each end of the sides that used to be red are warning lights and use sealed beam bulbs, with a slightly different lens which I believe is going to be a Weldon 2020 clear light lens. I'm still looking for that one. If you look closely at the lens, or one that's not broken if necessary, it will have the manufacturer and a model number molded into it, along with the SAE info, to be sure.

The Weldon 2020 sealed beam light is an obsolete model and is going to be hard to find. So far, I've checked all my surplus ambulance parts places, eBay and Amazon, but no luck. I found red, green, blue, and amber, but no clear ones.

You may just have to keep checking eBay and hope one turns up pretty soon.

Thanks Pat, you Da Man! Soon as the freakin rain let's up a bit I'll head out and check those numbers to be sure. I hope those are it because at those prices I'll be on 'em like rappers on fat white chicks.

I hear ya! That was the only place I found that had any in stock too.

Is there any particular rule that says I can't replace these with yellow warning lenses? Seems to me that would be a bit more useful than flashing white lights.
