Thanks JHill15. I haven't done much with her. I blame that on the motorcycle. Ha ha. But with the snow we have been having I am enjoying driving in it with my Montero. Love having seat warmers as well with the Limited version.

Thanks! How do you like it so far? I love Subarus. My swapped GC has a 2014 SB and it's a hybrid build. Made 400hp to the wheels. It's a quick little car.

As for the Montero I am excited about putting the spots up, but need a warm day to spend some time coming up with a template for the brackets.

The Subaru is fun, and I am becoming a huge fan of them. Now I started a search for a gc8 to make some crazy power to weight, might have to part with my track built e36.

On the Montero side I just installed a hid projector conversion that one of the guys here did on gen2, and that was a huge improvement over stock with nice light cutoff.

Oh sweet! That's awesome! They are great cars and I think the GC8 is a timeless body. There have been many that have done HID projector retro fit on those headlights also. Look mean.

I will have to see what that looks like on a Gen 2. Would be nice on mine. But they make some that fit for $600 or so.

Benny,

If you get around to doing those lights take pics, I've been wanting to do this too. I want to see how you go about mounting them.

Thx, Earl

Sure I will definitely take pics of the process. Been pre occupied with a dirt pit bike project on the weekends. So many things, so little time. Ha ha.

Great build thread! I just picked up a Montero myself a short while back and in the middle of various repairs. I also have my wife's 2000 GC Impreza that we are overhauling with a new wiring harness and a different ems occupying space in the garage. Any luck with the light brackets? I am looking to do a similar setup.

Nice! That's understandable. Mines still sitting in my garage being worked on every other weekend. But as for the hood lights I have not tried to install them. I need to get up and do it. Ha ha.

Hi Djbenny, thanks for sharing your build. I'm curious to know if you are still happy with the ATP's? Also, are you still considering a lift, or are you happy with the capability of stock height? Thanks.

I am happy with the tires. They seem to do great all around. They are a little noisy but definitely not as noisy as my BFG All Terrains and have less rolling resistance too. The price point is definitely worth the ROI. I would love to do a lift, perhaps the OME 2" HDs. I've had some close calls with my mud flapish moldings... But not too bad. Right now I just can't bite the bullet. But she is very capable in stock form and has good clearance in the middle. I honestly can't complain.

That's good too know about the tyres. I've just put on a set of bridgestone dueler 697 at's. Third set on the third vehicle as I'm really happy with them. I'll try the ATPs next time. I'm in the same boat as you with regard to a lift. I want it but just haven't noticed enough need to spend the coin at present...

Ordered a light bar for the Monty. I will let you all know how I install it. Excited. Also I still need to figure out where I will put my LED spot lights. Still thinking good by window. Have some ideas in brackets but nothing to show.

Mounted the LED light bar yesterday. I still need to wire it up. I ran the wire already basically waiting for the switch I ordered so it matches my Spot light switch.
