I guess RTTs are sorta like how hammocks are; there's something attractive about sleeping up in the air for some people. Despite the impracticalities. Maybe top bunk sleeping as a kid? or during that prison stint? :sombrero:
And hey, don't think I'm biased. I've got a van with a poptop and love to sleep up there. And while not all the same infirmities as a RTT, it has some (and some added benefit like being about to stand up). It's just more fun up there, and hence somewhat silly rationales like avoiding animals aren't really needed—just own the fact you like to sleep up in the air.
