Best year/model/motor for a Daily driver?

Starting my search for a low mileage Rover. What year/model/motor/trans does best for daily driving. I'm more interested in reliability long term and useable torque over gas mileage. Commute is 25 miles daily. Haul my dog in the back and wife in the front usually! Kids are 2 years out. Sooner if she has anything to say about it.

LR3 or LR4. Search here for info on both models.

Range Rover Sport also brings the win as well as the big daddy range rover. However both are more expensive. Dunno your price range but all of these models (Big daddy range after 2005) are good.

Get an 08/09 LR3. Will pull your Conquerer amazingly well! Great daily driver, take wife out to dinner, and hit Uwharrie on the Saturday, take the family to church on Sunday truck!
