Ditto on that Montero, that is just rockin' We need to see more of it doing trips like this

Thanks for the compliment and invitation. I certainly would like to do more trips...it's all going to come down to how much time off I can get and how far away I'll have to drive to meet more of you guys.

I just couldn't resist...here's a picture that Wil took with my camera:

And another one that I took:

I like the description of the sunrise with the moon setting and the jammin' java... I can relate. It's like I was there with you :)

Too bad you couldn't make the trip...it was a lot of fun packed into just a few days.

I'll add more photos as I get time to edit. Seems like the shooting part of photography is the easiest and least time consuming...not to mention the most fun.

Cheers,

TD

Man I can't wait to start making plans for BiBe 2008. I have some places I think we ought to hit. Like a certain ghost town!

Un, actually Tony was the one that I saw grab air! His passenger front caught about two feet of air. I didn't get a pic of it but it was great!

Great pics! Do you have any more that you can post up? We are taking the River Road this year and exploring more of the west side of the park. We did the east side and Black Gap Road in 2004.

So they have recently improved the roads over there? What about the unmaintained ones?

I am heading over there next Friday and can't wait!

SAS, now there's an upgrade for a truck that's already well equipped!

Is it the really expensive Calmini kit? Or is there something less pricey available for the Frontier?

Probably would be that kit. That or find someone that can do as clean a job as the Calmini unit.

Has everything? Not yet bud but I'm working on it for sure.

I have been meaning to post up some pics of the BBNP trip that some buddies and I took in late March/early April.

We had a great trip this year. We took my 1985 FJ60, a 1985 CJ-7, and a 1975 FJ40. I also brought along my Canadian M101 trailer that I have restored and fitted with a Mombasa rooftop tent. Gear storage in the bottom and tent on top. It works like a dream on trips like this.

We started on the River Road and camped at Loop Camp 1 on the Rio. We also spent some time in Grapevine Hills, Terlingua, and Santa Elena Canyon. We really took our time this year on River Road and took some good pics and drank plenty of beer (and some water too). Anyway, here are some pics from the trip...
