My friends Montero handles the off-road terrain very well, afcourse we do not go rock crawling, and everywhere we go we drive slowwwww!!!!!
I am sure we would like to see a mod thread:steak:

The trip was an absolute blast. It turned out better than my alreay high expectations. Great people, great food, and a great place to be.

There's something special about cooking up great breakfast tacos for friends as you're surrounded by mountains, the sun is rising, full moon is setting, and you're sipping on fresh-made coffee. :chef:

I just wish Big Bend hadn't just finished repairing all the roads. Nothing really challenging, but at least we got to cover more ground and see more in such a short time.

Thanks, gentlemen, for the compliments. I'll have to start a Montero thread soon; I need to take more pictures. I've really liked that truck; had it for a few years now after owning a '94 model for several years.

So, I'm ready for the next trip--can't stand the city for too long. Need more mountains and fresh air in my diet.

Right on. I am interested to see how that first picture I took of your Montero with your camera on River Road West came out. :jumping:

Yeah there were several times worth the price of admission was stated.

I ended up parking Stormy and went to the Basin with my dad and brother in-law.

We hiked the Window and don't think I'll be doing that anytime soon. We then went on around to Santa Elana canyon. Guys we gotta see it next time! That thing is BEAUTIFUL! Unfortunately my bro-in-law dropped a complete roll of exposed film into the river. I know he had some great shots. Well we waited and looked for it but never could find it so we called it a day.

I loaded the truck that night and we headed back to San Antonio early Sunday morning. I'm definitely coming back for BiBe 2008!

It was a blast meeting Patrick, Rodger, and Tony! We might have been better off keeping Rodger and Patrick seperated, that fore sure would have been problems.

I am on my Blackberry right now, I'll post more when I return home.

Better keeping us separated...problems... does that mean you planned it? ;) :)
Not sure what you meant here

:jumping: Great trip thread! I have always wanted to go to BB. That pic of Wil at the tinajas with all of that sedementary rock is :Wow1: .

Pretty fun to see Wil out trippin' so far from home. What a very, very cool lineup of trucks for this trip. Ditto on that Montero, that is just rockin' We need to see more of it doing trips like this  I like the description of the sunrise with the moon setting and the jammin' java... I can relate. It's like I was there with you :)

I was stating that the two of you guys together would have been problems. Rodger, you had me cracking up on your "that camp is a suck ****** spot" comment. With Patrick there I think he'd just add fuel to the fire and we all would have been rolling in laughter... thus problems. My sort of sarcasm. You both have similar personalities, and interests and with two clowns in the group it would have hysterical! Too bad Stormy had issues and Patrick couldn't tag along for the remainder of the trip. It definitely beats a trail fix or worse a break down though.

Nice to see such a well detailed report from a different part of the US. Props to Wendy for such great shots. Cool selection of well equipped outfits.

Wil, keep me posted on your bumper build. The weekend of the 25th I will be in Houston for a Titan club meeting. I have two guys I know with Toyotas that would like a shrock bumper.

Next time at BB hopefully we can all meet up and keep the challenges to a minimum. Patrick... we rae heading to Katemcy this weekend if you are in for some ROCKS :)

I'll have to pass Rog. Haven't replaced the ball-joints yet. That and the fact that, oh yeah, it's Handbrakes birithday. No chance of me leaving town soon.

Unfortunately Wendy was unable to make it on the trip. The OBGYN said "off-road is not good for the baby." Little does she know the kid is in there like this: :av-7:

I have lots more photo's just give it time and I'll post up the rest.

I am not sure when they will be done with it. I am trying to talk them into designing it with larger shackle brackets than the 1/2" like the 4runnner have to reduce vibration. I will keep that date in mind and let you know. I sent you an e-mail with all my pics if you or anyone else that went on the trip want the full size pic let me know and I'll e-mail it on over to you.
