Blaz's 2005 blazer

I have been doing a lot of reading and research. Here is my take on the rough country lift.

It drops the front diff about an inch and a quarter ( Right now my CV's are set where the boots stay on, just under Z trim height )
The upper control arms help with ball joint issues ( I am going through MOOG uppers every 30 000kms )
The shocks are OK for a few years ( bilsteins will follow )

Is the RC kit perfect? Far from it for sure. Will the RC kit help with my current issues? I think (hope) so.

Full size bump stops will be installed (adapted if needed).

My 33x10.5 KM2's are more aggressive than the AT's and as a result I am getting rubbing that will not be solved with full size bump stops.

HJ your advice is greatly RESPECTED and appreciated. Please keep it coming because I am always learning.

I thought so too, until I jumped my truck in a desperate move. I was prepared for the carnage the tires would do on the landing. I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent job they did in improving my suspension. They act as a progressive spring.
Your tires are indeed more than mine were. I hope the RC lift does as you wish. Be prepared to alter the front shaft to eliminate the pot joint. Most custom build a shaft with old school double joint CV. Then you get to deal with the steering issues. As with any mod, one leads to another and the snowball rolls down hill gaining momentum.
You are resourceful enough to solve the issues that arise. That is evident from the vehicle you have thus far.
My respect and attention follow you!

Small maintenance issues dealt with lately.

Oil change
New idler arm
New pitman arm
New drivers unit bearing
Alignment
Tires rebalanced

The blazer has aprox. 140 000 kms on it now.

The new lift is good and the KM2's have done well in the snow and ice so far.

And a few pics for good measure.

Nice outlawtrans. Feel free to add some more pics or a build thread link. I made it out to Rocky Mountain House once to pick up my sister she did a stint as a paramedic there.

This is the latest addition to my RIG! GoPro Hero 3 Silver Edition. I was waiting for the Black edition, but it is in high demand and there are a few freezing issues. I figure I will use the Silver and upgrade (buy another) when the time comes. I am learning the camera as well as the movie editing so I will keep everyone posted on my skills (or lack there of).

Now there is no excuse not to take more back country pics.
