Not me, but a friend of mine, Chris Collard along with Del Albright are driving the Jeep JK Overlander vehicle from the the Mexican border to the Canadian Border. Their blog can be found here. http://tinyurl.com/krkt2x

That's pretty cool. Glad to see the Jeep being put through it's paces.

I've enjoyed reading about their trip thusfar, would love to hook up with them for a day or two while they roll through Utah. Had the chance to meet them both over the years and they are both top notch gents, what a trip!

Rememebering our Continental Divide Expedition I can tell you that reports from the trail are really hard...and once you get back then it is down to telling the story on the web vs saving it for magazines.

Our new world is interesting...social media sites like Facebook and immediate tracking with things like the SPOT are in direct contrast with the traditional print/TV medium of doing something and then telling the story much later.
Especially when the traditional mediums want to be exclusive yet are lagging months behind reality.

But like you said....where is the rest of the story? :)

Im trying to figure out how i missed the entire trip and just found this now. That's such a great trip. Looking forward to hearing more on it too. By now the mags should of caught up. They're usually only like 5 months out.

Does anyone have waypoints for a B2B run? I've seen some for bikes so I'm not sure how applicable they would be to a truck.

I'd love to do this when my son gets older.

Disabled Explorers is still working on a Continental Divide Route Guide based on our trip, it will be a 3 ring binder that includes a disk of gps waypoints/tracks in various formats, budget guide, route info like history & sites, and a journal section.
We want to do it as a fund raiser, just need time to pull it together.

If all you want is the GPS info let me know what format and I am sure we would accept a smaller donation than what we were going to suggest for the entire route guide.

That might be just what I need.

It'll be a few years before I even start to plan for this trip.

I'll keep an eye out for your project, though.

Looks like it was a great trip!

Are there any veterans of Border 2 Border Land rover events on ExPo? there used to be a great website up with some photo galleries, but I can't seem to find them anymore.
