How do you compare 9800 tow capacity vs 15000?? I love the reliability of Toyota but $$ to $$ stock rigs in the long run what one can do with a diesel vs gas... hell tundra only has an 1400 payload capacity, and at the 40k I'm just saying.
Congrats any how
At what point is enough, well, enough?
I don't think huntsonora is going to be towing 9,000 pounds on a regular basis, let alone 15,000......so what's the difference?
While I wouldn't buy a 2014 Tundra, I don't think it's a horrible choice. Nor would a half ton V8 from Ram, Nissan, Ford, or GM. They're all great trucks and should prove to have lower operation costs than a 3/4 ton or larger with a diesel engine. So if you don't *need* that extra capability, why pay for it??
The reliability of a 2007-up Tundra hasn't proven to be much different than any other modern half ton V8, nor is retained value much different. It ends up being largely preference, and which metric is more important to you (power, fuel economy, rear seat room, electronics, features, aftermarket, etc).
