Bought a clean looking 94 Montero SR with 140k off craigslist and after driving it home I found an oil leak coming from the engine oil cooler hose not sure if its the sender or return hose is this going to be a costly fix and should I not drive the car while its leaking? Also how hard of a fix is this? I have limited tools/experience as far as this stuff goes.

Frequently the washers on the banjo fittings seep. But it sounds worse. Get a can of "Scrubbing Bubbles" and spray it all around the oily areas. Then spray it off with a pressure washer or cement nozzle. It will be much easier to spot the leak. Have you looked at the illustrations in the FSM, available at mitsubishilinks.com

thanks for the replies and link guys did the pressure washer clean and it looks like the engine oil cooler hose is leaking but it looks like its coming from the hose itself and not the banjo nut....pretty sure its the pressure hose....wheres the best place to get OEM mitsubishi parts?

If you can't get one don't panic, there are tons of places to have that type of hose made up. I've had hoses made up by a trucking supply company. They repair / build hydraulic lines all the time in routine truck maintenance. That oil line is low pressure.

I ordered one for my '97 from my local Mitsu dealer. It wasn't cheap though, IIRC it was about $70.00. I couldn't find anyone to make one, the local hydraulic hose place said they could not get the one of the fittings. I drove with mine leaking like crazy for a few weeks, just kept an eye on the oil level.
