Radios- let's go FRS since everyone has one? Joe, I'll bring an extra for you as well.
Red Canyon- how rough is the road? Given the rain forecast, I am thinking of driving my 08 Cherokee instead. Will me road crusier work?

From my BackCountry Adventures book, it lists Red Canyon as more difficult than Bradshaw Trail:

Red Canyon: 4/9 Difficulty/Scenic
Bradshaw Trail: 2/8 Difficulty/Scenic
(scale goes to 10)

However, the reason seems to be because you follow an undulating narrow spine for part of the trail, rather than any rock or ledge obstacles. From the write up, the "harder" part of the trail is on the north end, and we will be on the south end, down low in the canyon, which is just a sandy wash.

What is your road cruiser? Harley? LOL

Hi guys, not sure what is forecasted for the 3 days but I sure hope it is not as windy as it was coming to Vegas. It's been blowing hard all day, like crazy blowing.

Tie everything down. :D Have fun guys and looking forward to pictures.

Hey Luk4mud,

Are you still camping with us Sunday night?

That's our plan, if you'll have us. If it's raining on Sat maybe we want to head for Wiley's? I think they have some cabanas there and we can throw a couple of tarps over them and have some rain shelters.

I agree...we should just head to Wiley's Saturday night if it is raining.

We can make camp their both nights.

No wind or rain coming through Banning Pass on the 10. Skies are clear and temp is nice, though I'm sure that will change
