I'm also using a 700R4 and NP241. I have 24 axles. I think it'll be fine for the power output.

4500 feet, no smoke. Drive up into the mountains, smokescreen. You live in Utah, right? Plenty of mountains there, just like Colorado.

I just got done building a new rear driveshaft. I killed the first one I built. This time I used a 2005 Ram Cummins front CV shaft as a starting point. I rebuilt it with new ujoint sat the top. And I just ordered a new one for the axle end. To fit my Range Rover flange.

I also bought a JB Covnersions CV flange for the back of my transfercase. It's already installed.

Then I took a trip down to SLC this afternoon for some 2.25" x .25 wall tubing to build the other side of my shaft.

With everything cleaned up. I measured 10 times and cut once. Then cooked it together.

Here she is. Still need to swap the front u joint when that shows up. And the. Clean and paint it.

Welded up.

I also installed my glow plug button a few days ago. Mounted it pretty clean in the dash. Where the old subwoofer control used to be.

Shifters are now mocked up. I still need to rivet the plate that holds them to the body and seal it up. Then build a new center console around them.

Ok getting closer. I have all the shifter parts installed. I need to adjust the transfercase cable a bit more. But everything is working pretty good.

This is the transfercase bracket. It's working pretty good.

Just needs some fine adjustments.

This is the center console for now. I'm going to rebuild it using some of the stock parts. I just need to go get some fiberglass stuff so I can redo it.

Cool build. I love to see RR Classics still on the road no matter what's under the hood. If it does develop to roll coal on steep grades then that's just a sign that it's still running. Dump a qt of ATF in the fuel every fill-up and you'll keep your injectors/pump alot happier.

I just found a 6.5TD with serpentine, turbo and all the manifolds I need to upgrade this a little more.

you need to see what side the a/c compressor is on because if you get the setup with the a/c compressor on the top drivers side the throttle cable mount does not fit and you have to build something like I did but its way worth it

This is what I'm looking at. This is the only picture. As long as it has all the brackets, power steering pump, water pump and tensioners, me turbo parts, I'll get it.

I'm not using the motor at all. Mine runs way to good. And the 6.2 L is a pretty decent motor in my opinion.

Of course the Cummins is king. But there is not way that 6B would ever fit.

That one will work with your current throttle cable bracket I don't know about the RRC but I know the stock manifold for the turbo will not fit on the discovery it hits the shock tower

Engine is stripped. I'll clean it up and sell it.

Turbo Conversion is underway. My only issue is seeing if it will clear stuff under the hood.

I think I'm going to give up on traditional power steering and go with electric power steering assist off a car. There just isn't a lot of room under the hood for a pump. I've been doing some research, and it doesn't look to hard to do. Especially since I have two batteries and a 140 amp alternator.

Anyway, the serpentine conversion is all most done. Just need a belt and to fabricate an upper bracket for my alternator.

Serpentine belt drive is done.

I deleted the power steering pump because there wasn't any room. I may mount it where the air conditioner compressor would go, or go with electric power steering. We shall see.

I just need to hook up my coolant hoses again and then the wiring to the alternator.
