Building, Driving and Adventuring the MTN4RNR

Great thread. I've read it before but always like to go back and reference great builds when upgrading my own truck; I see you on T4R a lot too.

Question, for the LED fogs, do you have to have done the HID upgrade to run the fogs? I noticed a different harness on the LED fogs. Wondering if this will work without doing an HID upgrade.

Thanks.

Hey, sorry for the lengthy wait for a response... To answer the question, no you don't need the HID upgrade to have the LED fogs. They'll run just fine with the stock halogen low beams!

Big Sur 2.0, with more Toyotas! (1 of 2)

This last weekend I ventured down the coast with LawnDart to the Big Sur area where we met up with weeeee and some other Toyota guys from the Bay Area. weeeee got down there late Friday night and dealt with some serious headwinds all night, but thankfully it had all passed over by the time we got down there. Here's a quick photo re-cap [Note: all mentions are from t4r.org]:

LawnDart and I hit Old Coast Road on the way down south because dirt is way more fun than pavement!

Stopped for a late lunch and then sat in traffic for 3 hours to get home, but well worth it for the adventure! Thanks to all that were there, and all of the skilled photographers on site to make my photos look like polaroids in comparison. I can't wait for the next adventure.

No worries. Thanks for the info!

Frankly pretty good, I'd say sorta middle of the road, pardon the pun. Front is stiffer than the rear due to the coilovers and where we've set them.

It looked like you were riding pretty comfortably back there in the battleship! Think you'll lower your spring rate in the front?

Probably not, at most I MAY lower the front end just a hair, like 1/4", but it rides pretty great.
That CV angle though! HA!

Also heard you passed your HAM test! Any news on your call sign? What equipment did you decide to go with?
