Hi.
We are on our way of driving to Argentina with our truck. The plan is now to drive to Banff and Jasper and the from there to Yellostone. That all will happen after the winter season ends here. I think we will not make it to Oregon.

With your battery bank & solar setup, how long does it take to fully recharge from 70%?
And which charge controller are you using?

It all depends from the weather. I have not checked exactly the length of each charging cycle, but I can guess that from 70% (prox 460 ampH to full 660 ampH) it takes 4,5-6 hours. We are rarely under 98% of max charge before sundown.
We are using Bogart Trimetric battery monitor to see exactly where we are on the charge rate (%) and also how much ampH reaches the batteries.
As a charge controller, we are using EpSolar 65ampH MPPT controller with a temperature senor. That was one of the cheapest controller on the market and have to say that it works brilliantly so far.
Max charging voltage is set to 14,7V and I have seen the highest charging amph rate 46, something. That was in French Riviera this summer.
