The only thing missing from this truck is the receiver hitch couch modification popular with the Super Duty crowd :coffee:

This thread is funny. Looking at everyones taglines do you guys who own trucks from the Mid 70's to 2000 really think you're the target audience? I'm not bashing, I'm just mentioning it. Besides, SEMA is about showing off products 1st.....function 2nd.

That truck is done pretty clean compared to a lot of the crap at SEMA these days!

The story with SEMA is not to show off a truck with 33s that will travel around the world. If it's not flashy it doesn't draw attention. No different than a hot chic on a TV commercial!

Put some cut-out fender flares on there and drop it about 10" and that would be a pretty ************ truck! Some of the parts are way over done though... Headlights and grill most importantly.
I do agree with a post above though... You'd like they'd try and show off how big of a tire they can stuff in a small lift with at least one of their trucks.

SEMA "SHOW" Build * Note the word "SHOW"

Rear.jpgTire.jpg

For all you uninformed haters out there and, in case you didn't notice the white carpet in the first picture, I'll explain...

This "SHOW" truck was built for the largest car "SHOW" in the world: SEMA to "DISPLAY" various products to industry insiders. The truck drew a huge crowd during the "SHOW" and repeatedly received excellent feedback.

If any of you haters who commented above can build a better "SHOW" truck, let me know and I'll be happy to comment on your build...

Also note that for the "SHOW", the air ride was all the way up (therefore the low hanging sway bar).

BTW, everything on the truck is quite functional and the bill on my hat curves just fine...

i mean no disrespect, i appreciate the work that goes into something like that but this is the wrong kinda forum if you're looking for praise on a show truck. i saw the truck there, walked right by. kelderman kit and frenched in LED bars or not, it looked like everything else there.. too much bling, too much wheel, not enough tire, not enough rock rash. it's my least favorite thing about SEMA, it's like 12,000 episodes of pimp my ride happening all at once around you...

and come on, you cannot deny the stereo types. big wheels, big exhaust, big lift, flat bill hat, metal mulish t-shirt and dad's credit card. its just too common nowadays.

OMG! It IS a "Show" truck. But if someone handed me the keys to what is probably a $60k truck I wouldn't scoff and throw them away.

Criticism is to be expected from ANY build, especially at SEMA. Have to let it go in one ear and out the other. I've had 2 of my personal rigs at the show, part of many more and it does irritate you when someone doesn't "get" it. So I understand where you're coming from.

Since you brought it up, could you offer up a "functional" reason for changing out the half decent looking factory grill for the "stars and skulls" type thingy, and the artificial "mud" decals?

I'm sure there is a whole bunch of time and money put into that truck, and it looks well put together. The problem is, this is not the right place to "SHOW" that type of truck. Pirate? Maybe. I don't know where it's target group congregate, but it isn't here. People here (with a few exceptions), are typically trying to scrape together enough money to travel far far away from people who "build" "SHOW" trucks.

Maybe a less hostile approach for your first post too? I understand that having your work, which I would hope you are proud of, mocked is hard to take. Perhaps a "Hey guys, this might not be your cup of tea, but check out our other projects" type comment would be better?
