Buying a Trooper

Exactly what the title says. As long as nothing changes, I will be the proud owner of a 94 isuzu trooper next week.

130,000 miles
3.2 DOHC motor
Auto tranny (couldn't find a good one with a manual)
low low price of $1500

Needs: A new antenna, passenger side power window button, there is a short in the sunroof somwhere (works sometimes), speedometer doesn't work, and a good detailing. A couple of rust sports starting that will need some immediate attention as well.

Congrats!! Great vehicle! I had a 94 Trooper S model and drove it cross country a couple times, on FS roads, ORV trails, camping, mountains/deserts, etc... never let me down. I sold it couple years ago, though. Now have a couple 89 Troopers and a 90 Spacecab 4x4. I would also suggest getting on the Planetisuzoo forum but looks like you're already there. There are also several Planet members on here as well. Take your time going thru it and if you run into any problems, JLemond on the Planet is the man to talk too. See ya on the Planet!

Back in the game, couple of leads on troopers in my budget, have to travel a little to get them....but may be in this game yet!

I drove my latest Trooper purchase back from Texas...you can make it from Texas to Minnesota in one day.

Time off from work is the bigger issue. Seems like it is hard to get away right now, had another one sold out from under me. But still looking.
