How do you like the wheels and tires so far?

As we’ve mostly been building it’s hardly been driven. Seemed ok on the way to the welder... really need some interstate time, maybe next week I’ll get a chance to go to the mechanic / diesel performance shop.

Of course love the appearance / elevation.

Bumper coming together. Hope to have it finished Monday and then off to powder coat. Big thanks to Iron Bear Customs here in Washington MO.

Got a bit of highway time today running to the diesel Perfomance specialist.

Ran well, cruised well about 65-70 and hit 75 a few times.

I did experience some light shake at a couple of speeds, nothing compared to the former commercial tire / duals, overall comfy and quiet, pleased with the sound proofing work. Still need / hope to make the suspension a bit more plush.

Thinking I may add some centramatics and go from there. Open to suggestions / info.

Did you have the tires balanced at all?
I’m hoping to mount mine next week since I have a few days off.
I have a pair of centramatics for the front. May get a back set as well and start there in term if balancing. Not sure I want to throw beads it the tires at this point.

Well crap. I had assumed so but just looked and there are no weights. Hmmm.

Did your maygood windows come with accordion shades or roller-blinds ?

They’re accordion. I’ve not yet installed the inner trims but initial reaction is that I like the functionality though feel like the trim restricts the overall window size.

Been super cold here in MO so not getting much done except research/ parts ordering.

I'd like to hear about the engine/trans, what it is and the perf. mods.

I like that area around Washington, MO. Just far enough from the city, right on the edge of the Ozarks, river hills. I'm from just north of Columbia.

It’s an 07 with the LBZ and Alison with divorced transfer case. This weight is all new to me so learning along the way.

Primary mods are tuning and fuel pump / filtration. As I understand at this weight they’re actually tuned down from the factory and have significant potential up to 600 hp though you lose durability the higher you go. Off just memory I think it sits at about 360hp stock and through tuning and a couple light mods will go up 20-25% also tuning will allow the use of the sixth gear that they installed and didn’t use (weird).

Yep we like the Washington area a lot too. Rural ish town with all the amenities and small community feel.
