That looks fantastic with the 255s, much better proportions than the wider tires you had before. Every time i check out this thread it reminds me that some day i wan't a first gen.

New windshield installed. The installer had a cool seal he put on it so I could go without the awful chrome trim. Score.

Love the truck! Quick Question, was that a glue in windshield or was it a gasket? I'm trying to do the same with my 88.

Cool good to know, I brought the pictures of your windshield to our glass guy an he says he didn't know how yours was done.

He said he didn't know how they did such a thin trim on the sides and did not leave a gap at the bottom. He used 1" thick trim all around and it does not look nearly as clean as yours.

There is a slight gap on the bottom but the lower painted trim covers it up.

Quick pic. Loving the new gears and tires. Hands down the best mod I've done. Locker is pretty sweet too. I was worried a Detroit locker would have bad street manners, but with Mobil 1 and LSD additive you almost don't know it's back there.

All good things must come to an end. Justin and his wife flew down from Iowa to pick up my truck this morning. It's sad watching something you built and put so much time and energy into drive away down the road, but it couldn't have gone to a better guy. Him and his wife are going to have plenty of adventures, starting with a 1400 mile drive home! I wish you good luck and safe travels my friend.

Love the carry swing, would you mind giving me all the measurements of the plates, placements, rearrangements of the mounts, and if you did any tube bending? My 4Runner looks a lot like your and I can't wait to have this on mine!

Hey,

I actually took a few pics before I sold the truck that might help you out. The only real modifications I made to the Pathfinder tire carrier were the base plates and matching interior plates that sandwich the sheet metal.

Oh, and last but not least, the new owner sent me a pic of them arriving in Iowa a blizzard slowed them down but it made it through like a champ. 70mph and 16-18mpg most of the way home
