If you guys are concerned about defender thefts, go to my Facebook page...Theft Defender Solutions... I have a flashing light that can be installed very easily and may be a deterrrent....the brake defender is being revised and into production again soon, and if you have an R380'transmission you will love the new gearshift defender being released any day now......if you have an LT77 tranny I will have one out for that shortly after...

Now hang on Shayne. I need to de-moth-ball my ancient Facebook device. This is intriguing

Bumping (perhaps resurrection is a better term?).

Any movement at all on a Camel event so feverishly discussed earlier in this thread? It seems there is lots of interest at first and then nothing happens...

Just wondering if anyone cares about a Camel event these days.

The old organizers of the local selections keep organizing them. There was just a big one in the Canary Islands. Next year there’s a big reunion in either Portugal or Russia. Location is still pending.

Oh. I am not a member of that Socialist Media group.

I’ll check it out, thank you!

Edit- it requires me to sign up to view anything... not warm and fuzzy about their security measures (or lack there of).

That is the reason I miss lots of connections, as I am not a member of organizations like that. No Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or many social media accounts, too intrusive.

well, it seems I won’t be a part of the event. I’m not sacrificing the privacy of my family and myself just to see if I’m interested...

Oh well.

Hi all

I see this has been quiet for awhile but thought I would post

My father-in-law (Camel 90) posted on here over 10 years ago looking for stories about his 1986 Camel that was a part of the Canary Islands team... I see that he posted that and then never logged back on to see a single reply lol

I'm looking to surprise him (hopefully) with photos, videos and stories from the event! We don't have many photos from Hox (as he has lovingly been called) in action during 86 and it would be great to seek some out

If anyone on here was involved in the '86 Camel Trophy it would be amazing to hear what the it was like, along with any photos you may have... or if anyone on here knows about any photos, newspaper clippings or stories that would be amazing. I did see a few newspaper clippings that were posted in reply to Paul's post but I genuinely don't think he ever logged back in to see these

Thank you all!! hopefully I will return to see any replies, unlike my Paul

I’m from the Canary Islands team (CT98). I’ll contact Fernando Lorenzo the team organizer to see what he can tell me. The participants were Jose Robayna & Javier Mena. I don’t know them personally but I know Fernando does and may be able to contact them.

Hi there

Just looking to see if you managed to get in touch with Lorenzo? ☺️
