This is a uniquely Australian setup. Our '06 Nissan Patrol 4.2 Intercooled turbo diesel with Australian portal axle assemblies with a deluxe Trayon camper. Weighs about 920lbs. dry. View at trayon.com.au

Here is my wife and my home for the next year. We are on a combo trip of road trip/overland expedition crossing all around north america (we are currently in Quebec, headed east through NB, PEI, NS and then south into Maine - to hopefully see more fall)

Setup is 2004 Silverado 3500 QCLB Duramax/Allison 4x4 with a 2004 Starcraft Pine Mountain Starmate.

Hello everybody, im new here to the portal. Here are a few pics of my rig.

Nice...I have been wondering what a "few" extra inches off a short bed tacoma would look like...I am not thinking of going with a camper quite as long as yours but it doesn't look as unwieldy as I thought it would...

looks cool...but where on earth do you put a spare tire?

>> here you see where it's located ... and of course it's in a vinyl, smell tight cover, leaving enough space inside the rime to carry tire fix kit, compressor etc.. The calculated tire was a 35/12.5 17" Cooper Discoverer SST Mud Terrain from my Rubicon. Sizes bigger than that will be very rare for overlanding, I guess. But a bigger tire cover and a smaller matress can be made if desired.
