Shake down trip to El Paso Mtn in Mojave

Quick trip out to some BLM land to check out the truck, camper, and it's systems. Every worked great, my Buddy especially appreciated the AC and generator, he had gone to a party the night before and had been over served, he loved napping at 3pm when it was 97f outside and a lovely 74f in the camper. All performed as it should. This truck is really impressive, great on road and surprisingly capable off.

I have only owned my FWC Finch since Sept 2010 and slept in it a total of three nights. I really like it and it seems to be great qaulity. I was supprised at how well it was constructed, It is a shell model with furnace and extra battery options. The original install was a bit squeeky, so I added a quarter inch of rubber mat and two more elevator bolts, as well as made some front mount hooks on the frame of the truck. To secure the camper from moving in the bed. It stays put and only takes a couple hours to load or unload. The camper is comfortable for me at 6'1'' and my wife and two large dogs. I have the roll couch, screen door and roof rack options also. This camper will be put to the test this winter and I'm confident it will be great. Thanks to FWC for making a superb product.:jumping:

Finally took some pics

I bought an early 80's FWC Grandby spring 2010 for $500. I have recently painted it and added a new door from FWC. We took it up to Moab this past weekend and now I feel that the camper is apart of me. This is the best truck camper I have ever owned. Here are some pics of my setup. Time for bigger tires on the truck!

Here's my weekend getaway rig. I picked up this old school camper on CL for $225.00, gave an extra $25.00 for the mounts and then modified them to fit my truck. probably have a total of $325.00 into getting this camper on the truck. I was lucky to find one in such good condition for so cheap. Guy (original owner) just wanted it off his truck. I also picked up a towbar on the corner for $10.00 and mounted it to my Rubicon. Works great for weekend getaways.

Still working on some water storage, outside shower, and awning ideas.

Here's a pic of it on the side of the road.

I almost bought this camper a few years ago. It is a Northstar TC 850, but it turned out to be too much for my Titan. The owner decided to keep it and had sent me these pictures after mating it to his new F-250. It's a beautiful rig, so I thought I'd share it on this site.
(I have since found a TC650 model that is more manageable for my Titan. Pics of my rig are a few posts above)

Is this a pop top camper? And if it is, the first two pics are top down looking for a beach camping spot.
