I use the Goal Zero light-a-life lights and chain them, and because they are magnetic I just stick them to the van or hang them from the awning. Then I use the Goal Zero lighthouse lantern as a portable/moveable light source. I power the lights with a Yeti400 which has plenty of juice. The GZ stuff is quite nice, I am really liking it.

For walking around or working on something I have a streamlight flashlight permanently mounted in its charger. I use a black diamond headlamp too.

These things are great. I have used them on sailboats for years. Can't break them, they draw virtually no power, and the plug in to any 12 plug. The Davis company makes very inovative products.
