That's funny, I misread the title like three times and I didn't understand why the pictures didn't look right. See, we have a Carrizozo New Mexico and I thought that was where you had went.

Yeah, was a brain fart on my part. Hey that sort of rhymes! Advanced Edit won't let me change the title.

EDIT: Or maybe my brain was already thinking of a sneaky was to publicize my "complaint"? Ha! Wish I were that smart....

A mod can change the title. I turned in my keys last year or I'd do it for you.

it is interesting to see these old signs throughout the Carrizo area. I don't think that the route is active any more but would ATT have to dig it up when this place (inevitably) becomes a National Park?

Wait, we need to take over Carizozo and turn it into a National Monument and further the confusion. Why make things all nice and orderly? :victory:

Ah, the "Hasp Heist". At least you got paid for them eventually so complaining about it publicly paid off! :bike_rider:

Right on...agree with you on all points.

Always been hesitant to put an EXPO sticker on my rig as I felt I was promoting a brand and not a way of life.

I think you have hit the Overland Nail on the head! Sort of harks back to the joking comments on how many people at the O-Expo seemed to have shared the same closet full of clothes.

Jim,
We went to Carrizo twice a few weeks ago (at the height of the bloom- it was amazing, which is why we went back).

I guess I missed all the drama but I certainly don't fault your logic.

However, the good aspect is that it gathers many different vehicle makes and owners.
Is there another forum with the same focus? I would gladly join up there.

*oh and that's not the meat you get at McD's

These kinds of posts are what brought me here in the first place.

Thom and I checked out Carrizo Plains at the beginning of the month, and there are a lot more trails I'd like to explore up there. Let me know if you don't mind some company next time you're headed up.

This was posted by Scott on a thread where I made it quite clear that I WAS NOT OK with one of Scott's "clan" not paying me for product he received from me then knocked of the very product he owed me for. Maybe its OK to "dine and dash" in Prescott restaurants if your associated with ExPo?

So now I'm amongst the group of adventures, vendors, and former Expedition West "partners"/ employees (I don't think the is a single "expeditioneer" in the group) that see what ExPo "really" is.

Sad!

Not the first time I've heard this...
