The digital readout works and the fan comes on with 12v but not the compressor??? Would a direct connect make a difference??? 12v worked yesterday and maintained 38 temp but kept shutting off due to the cheap plug.

Sorry, I missed that the fan and display were on. It sounds like the 12V connection is OK. Definitely check for loose wires again.

Positive correct?
Are you absolutely sure that the center pin on the cigar lighter in your truck is positive? A negative can give you all sorts of weird results.
Kinda a long shot, but is there a fuse or reset for the 12V compressor circuit that may have been tripped by reversed polarity?
Worth a check.

Checked all the cables nothing plugged it back into the trailer same thing display comes on fan comes on compressor clicks on for half a second then nothing. All works fine on ac. I dont see any kind of reset. Guess I will Have to run the inverter this weekend until I can give them a call monday.

Called them this morning ups is on the way to pick up this one and deliver a new one. No hassels very nice the guy in customer service has the 63q also for over a year no problems.

I just got mine delivered about 20 minutes ago. I fired it up, so we'll see how it goes.
First impression: nobody will ever mistake one for an Engel, for sure. Build quality seems cheesy in comparison. I like the control panel, though- Engel could learn from that! The top door latch is crooked- seems typical of most Chinese products when it comes to fit and finish.
Anyone had one of these for a long period of time? You hear of decade old Engels without issues, but this one- hmmm, I dunno.

I dont think they have been around that long. I think there are a few people who have been running them around 1-2 years no problems. The guy in customer service for compact appliance said they dont get many back. It seems 99% of the returns are the wires coming unplugged. They had never had one acting like mine as far as he knew.

Just got mine on Friday. The 12v plug is crappy because the spring pressure is way too much and pushes itself away from the center of the outlet. Luckily I had a west marine plug stashed away and replaced it with that. Didnt have to cut the original harness, the lugs fit.

Compact Apliances customer service gets a thumbs up from me. They shipped the new unit to me as soon as UPS picked up the defective one. They even called me today to let me know UPS was out for delivery with it. The new unit is plugged into my trailer hopefully It will perform as well as the other units here!
