Check Your Battleborn Positive Terminal!

I've been watching the Battleborn facebook pages and wow, they pretty much immediately delete any comments on this issue. Denying it (IMHO) is very bad. They should just address the issue. I'm sure it'd be expensive to "fix" all the BB batteries out there but the other option might be worse; lawsuits, etc.

I'm just shaking my head at such an astoundingly stupid design decision. It's a friggin' high-current conductor path, whether it's used that way or not! Even if the two bars had been bolted in direct contact, as any barely competent designer would have made sure to do, that connection would get warm carrying 100A. Bolting thru the plastic sheet, which looks like ABS which deforms at only 160ºF, leaves the bolt, a relatively poor conductor, carrying all the current there, ensuring it would get even hotter and at least deform the plastic, further loosening and lightening the bolt contact, with a snowballing effect of worsening conductivity making more and more heat until the plastic has melted and the whole juncture is the rattling, sparking, burning mess Will revealed to the world. On top of that, using AP-store insulated crimp eyelets on the ground side busbar? You gotta be kidding! Astronomical incompetence!!

And then with the typical corporate ass-covering in an attempt to avoid the comprehensive recall order they should have issued immediately, they deserve to go under. Any company that would allow such negligent design where such hazards lurk should cease to exist.

Being part of the legitimate electrical business...
We teach that on bolted connection.
The bolt is only a clamp. Its not intended to be part of the current path.
Thats not saying a bolt carries no current, but means the mated parts are supposed to be themseves adequate.

Anybody that hasn't seen the forum/social media reports that HAVNT been squashed by battleborn will be ignorant to their problems.

Awfully typical, sounds a lot like a marketing crew that doesn't care about (or understand) product issues and is only worried about keeping a brand above water.

Unless they fix things fast and succeed in covering up or distracting from the terrible designs, they are on borrowed time.
There are already enough independent tests and customers claiming foul at this point, and more than enough evidence to back it up.
I cannot speak of any kind of sponsorship of any of the tests that have been done and publicized, but the evidence seems clear.
I find it hard to believe anyone that is privy to any of these issues would even bother considering battleborn.
