That is what I am assuming, that one of the two places would have caught a broken or worn part....

The OME shocks and such have less than 60k miles on them, so they should be good...

Maybe just too skinny for the miles I drive? I average almost 3k a month.

This should not be a problem. My old 245/75R16 Cooper ATR had a similar tread width to your Geolanders and I had no issue with them. I put my 265/75R16 Cooper S/Ts on and hand no problem until I added the lift. I like going around a corner like a trophy truck, and now my tires are starting to scallop a bit.
