What a perfect first time jeeping adventure! I asked to tag along with Rich and Tom so that I might learn some technical maneuvers before attempting the Rubicon. Although there wasn’t a lot of rough terrain to maneuver, I learned that there is much more to “jeeping” than getting from point A to point B. There is the building of ALL that character! Any incident that was slightly less than comfortable was put into the category of “building character.” Seven hours of driving with boys who insist the jeep have no top……building character. Three nights of temps lower than freezing in a bag rated 40 degrees…..building character. Waking up to a frozen water bottle next to me…..yes…more character. I have much to learn! But I can’t think of a better group of people to learn with. It was wonderful meeting all of you. Thank you for helping create such amazing memories. Thank you, Jim, for organizing the event. I hope to join you all again soon. I must confess, my favorite part of the trip was watching Rich take a turn in the back seat on the way home. Envision this size large man trying to squeeze into my size small ski jacket while teeth were chattering…….ah yes…building character. I will say no more…….
