This one slipped under the radar, but there are some real gems:

This image has depth, and the richness of the bokeh draws the eye. What I find most interesting are the people behind the camera and pile of 35mm film rolls. Brings me back to a time gone by.

The stories this kettle could tell. The image is also in a beautiful place. Only negative is the plastic pelican

Love this shot. Great composition and a patina and complexity that only many miles on the road could create.

Who doesn't love Snap-on. Nice DOF.

I like this shot because of the subject. The vignette is a bit too much, but there is much to soak in with this image.

I voted for 5 and not just for the subject matter. Some photos have a quality I am at a loss to put a name to... This one has it. Something about it makes me "feel" the image. I vividly "feel" grain of the axes handle, the dustiness of the rust at the bottom of the axe bit holder, the dry raspy petina on paint of the rack, the surface of the strap still stiff and textured yet softened and frayed at the end by many miles flapping in the sandy breeze on adventures here and there, the delamination of the plywood from so many good soakings... Like I said, I don't know what it's called but I look at this picture and in my head I am there running my hands over everything. It's like it takes me there and the more I think and focus it brings back memories of times and places long gone.

2 for sure! what's wrong with a pelican case? a well worn pelican case holds just as much story...

Is the Disco in #5 an XD with gear to make it a CT clone? The paint looks more AA yellow and Sand Glow Beige to me, but maybe that is from the post process??

#2 and I will be third to say there is nothing wrong with a pelican case...they have been around a long time, have been around the world and carry a history worthy of note

#4 doesn't strike me as "classic kit"...it is a cool image of tools, but I would need to see something more like a canvas tool roll (like Grahams) before I thought classic kit

Definitely No 1 for me.

But then again, I'm a sucker for old rangefinders - the contrast between the sharpness of the image and the creaminess of the background makes this image for me.

Best Wishes
David
